Love model Abbey Lee and her dark lipstick. Maybe I will wear this lipstick tomorrow...hmmm

Study break
I have been researching my thesis for my journalism masters degree for the past month so I haven't had as much time to look at my favorite fashion blogs lately or do anything else but study for that matter. But I did take a break this week to go shopping with my boss and to browse the internet. I am excited about my new Fall clothes that I bought and since the weather has been colder, I have stopped wearing blush and am just layering on eyeliner. I even dyed my hair a little darker. This picture of Helena Christensen really makes me think of Fall and the transition from light colors to darker ones. It inspired me so much i have stopped buying so much pink and am buying more grey and black and white. Im so goth.... :) anyway. Here is some of my recent inspiration. More pictures to come when I take another break. Yuck Studying.

La Couleur du Faux Automne
A few weeks ago, I was gallery hopping in Williamsburg with my painter friend Melissa. We made some nice discoveries on our way to a typical Saturday party at Miss Favela. What remains though, is not the vibrant greens and yellows of their walls, but rather the different shades of browns that are so distinctive of nature in fall and which continue to inspire fashion and makeup collections year after year.
I might not be walking around New York City today but I can still draw inspiration from the season's colors and pretend I'm seeing the first leaves of Fall come down...
I have put my boots to rest for a while but I love how nicely they blend with the asphalt.

Layer the cake? The colors surely suggest that there is a gourmand inspiration. I can't say that I'm complaining about that... I like this mix of Calypso accessories because there is lot of texture in my favorite shades of browns. Caramel, dulce de leche, cafe con leche or chocolate amargo? Regardless of which one I choose in the end, the result is a warm and chic look. Plus I'm thinking about how handy the hat and gloves will come in to survive another winter in New York...
The look of Rapsodia's Urban Safari is bohemian, hip, and very laid back. It qualifies as faux automne because it is actually a spring look! I love that the items are so versatile...
Once I'm ready for such new heights, I think I will go for the Calypso clog.
It is the perfect transition shoe...
AND for the finishing touch...

I'm always a fan of the perfect red nail polish. Other than that, I am leaning towards the grays, golds, and browns and curious to try green for the first time. They match perfectly with my brown wardrobe and add a little more fun to a reflective fall. However, I'm still not ready to give up Mauve Cendré, which I can't get enough of!
Nail polish is THE accessory of the season!

Breakfast Time!
You'd think that the day after a wedding that lasted until 6am I'd want to skip breakfast.. BUT I'm addicted to facturas. Not the healthiest breakfast out there, but hey, I only eat them a few times a year so there's no harm being done. They are absolutely delicious. I feel like I'm only thinking about food lately! The wedding was fantastic by the way. More to come on that...

Friday Night Speak Easy
After a typical midnight Argentinean dinner, Deby, Bety and I headed to Puerta Uno on Friday. We rang the bell, went through a black door, and discovered a no hassles speak easy. It's intimate yet big enough to meet people and mingle. Hip crowd, yummy drinks, great lighting, and good music. Must check out if you come down South...
Can't remember what we had but we all agreed it was worth a second round...

More wedding make up
My cousin Bree got married this weekend in Niagara Falls and I was the make up artist for the wedding party. I love sparkle and glitter but i toned it down since my cousins are all naturally beautiful. :) Here are some pictures of my handiwork even though i didnt get many close ups the most important part was that everyone felt beautiful and had a great time.
The red shoe party
The bride
Too much champagne apparently
My sister and I and the maid of honor
One last summer trip
my new Fall boots have nothing to do with this post but i love them :) They are miss sixty.
Grandma turned 80 last month so the family went to St. Augustine Florida to a house we rented on the beach. It was so nice waking up to the sound of the ocean and aunt debbie unloading the dishwasher. Ahhh sounds of vacation. The best part was the restaurant on the swamp we went to with aligators on the wall. Delicious. I am excited for Fall but will miss all my shorts when its cold out. This was my last chance to wear my favorite summer clothes.
Why taking risks can be highly fashionable...
Martin Margiela is always at the forefront of "creativity". If you dare to take some serious risks, why not try some of the clothes featured during Paris fashion week? I'm feeling a bit conservative today. I'll just stick to their fragrance: Untitled...
Avant-garde fashion doesn't stop with Belgian brand MM. Moroccan fashion designer Charles de Castelbajac has some daring proposals... Is that Mickey on the shirt?? How about those earrings?!
Now, Junko Shimada is closer to what I could wear. If only I could wear heels that high... Yet they're so much fun and perfect to add some color to neutral outfits!
Even the model is falling off these shoes. Hmmm...

Falling for You II
Welcome to Shu Uemera fantasy land. Fall is a perfect time for dreaming...
Their eyeshadows and fake eyelashes are truly fantastic.
This look is purely for inspiration though!
Bye bye clam bake, hello purple! I also love the new colors from Swiss nail polish brand Mavala. Recently picked up a bottle of Mauve Cendre during a trip to Paris.

Who says shimmer is only for summer? These golds are natural and they work well with all skin complexions, plus the added benefit of matching the fall leaves...

Long gone are the boring eyeshadow palettes. Look at these amazing designs!
Enjoy the Fall while I submerge into Spring!
